The Life of RAE MARY KNUDSEN
Mary Knudsen, 75, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born October 17, 1934 in Des Moines to Ray and Genevieve Blackman.
Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with family.
Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gil Knudsen; children, Terry (Jan) Knudsen, Mike (Bobbie) Knudsen, Molly (Alan) Moses, and Chris Knudsen; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Blackman and Glenn (Willie) Blackman; sister, Helene (John) Hutt; sister-in-law, Christina Blackman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gene Blackman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the funeral home.
