The Life of CHAD ALLEN NAUMAN

Chad Allen Nauman, 35, died unexpectedly Monday, August 30, 2010. He was born August 28, 1975 in Des Moines to Arvana and Russell Nauman.

He graduated from Dallas Center Grimes High School in 1993. After high school, he traveled and played music with several bands throughout the country. Chad played guitar, but loved playing the drums the most. He was very artistic, loved to travel, and made friends with everyone.

Chad was most recently a self-employed carpenter, where he was most commonly known as the “Rock-n-Roll Carpenter.”

Chad is survived by his mother, Arvana and step-father, Frank “Chuck” Butler; father, Russell Nauman; sister, Lisa Nauman and her son, Kaden Nauman; grandmother, Sylvia Nauman; half-sister, Beverly (Rick) Carlo; step-sister, Sara (Jamie) Jeter; step-brother, Erik (Jessica) Butler; several aunts and uncles; special cousin, Matt (Chris) Brown; girlfriend, Billie Jo VanderPool and her children; as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the funeral home.
