The Life of SHIRLEY JEAN ELIFRITZ
Shirley Jean Elifritz, 78, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Her wishes were to be cremated, and no services are planned.
Shirley was born January 20, 1930 to Beulah and Loren Schuling in Des Moines, Iowa. She retired from Jackson County Public Hospital as a food service director. She was then a caregiver after retirement. She was a great animal lover.
Shirley is survived by her daughters: Kathy (Joe) Butkovich, Peggy (Jim) Head, and Becky (Loren) Clasen; her brother, Edward Schuling; her step brother, Charles Elings, Jr.; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and her dear friend Helen Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles & Beulah Elings, and Loren Schuling; and her grandson Michael.
