The Life of GERALDINE ALMA DAVIS
Geraldine Alma Davis, 87, was born December 24, 1921 in Des Moines, the daughter of Roy and Caroline (Uhlman) Yoder. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and close friends Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Hope Lutheran Church, 3857 E. 42nd Street in Des Moines, where she was a longtime member. Private inurnment will occur later in spring at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Jerry is survived by her beloved daughter, Nona (Ardin) Backous; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Trudy Gustaveson and Georgene Mulstay and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin A. Davis; her son, Kenn Davis; her parents and three sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church in loving memory of Jerry. Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home is handling services.
