The Life of ARVID HENNING BURK
Arvid H Burk, 95, of Riverview Care Center died of a heart ailment there Saturday. The body was cremated, and no srvices are planned. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Burk was born in West Mineral, KS and had lived in Des Moines and Ankeny most of his life before moving to the care center five years ago. He was a retired baker with Wonder Bread in Des Moines and an Army veterean of World War II. He enjoyed reading philosophy.
A sister, Esther Dockstader of Ankeny, survives.
