The Life of JAMES REED FRAME

James Reed Frame, age 84 of Winfield, died Thursday December 16, 2010 at his home in Winfield. The son of Ferrel Francis and Mary Flo (Beaty) Frame, he was born October 27, 1926 at Collinsville, Illinois. He married Geraldine Kendall in 1950; she died in 1987. On November 29, 1997 he married Lorrine Dunsmore. He served in the US Army during the 1940s, being stationed in Japan and other countries. He worked for various farmers after he finished school, worked at the rock quarry in Columbus Junction, operated a service station with his brother in Des Moines, and worked on small engines in Des Moines and Winfield. He was a member of the Winfield United Methodist Church, where he served a a trustee; was a social member at Twin Lakes golf course where he enjoyed playing cards; was treasurer of the Winfield Congregate Meals; Survivors include: his wife Lorrine of Winfield; one daughter, Michelle Wagoner of Marion, Indiana; two sisters, Bonnie (Fred) Couch of West Des Moines; Arlene (Don) Clark of Columbus Junction; one brother, Francis Frame of Norway; three stepchildren, Becky (Perry) Ross of Iowa City; Pat (Jerry) Fricke of Winfield; Kevin (Diane) Dunsmore of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one sister Maxine and two brothers Russell and Allen; Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service was Monday December 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Winfield United Methodist Church. A memorial in his name has been established for the church. Honts Funeral Home in Winfield assisted the family with arrangements.
