The Life of ALICE PAULINE BLANCHARD
Alice P. Blanchard, 92, died July 7, 2009 at Valley View Village. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Alice was born March 5, 1917 to John and Tena Mackin in Des Moines. Alice is survived by her children, Pauline (Jack) Young, Sandy (Jerry) Gathercole, Linda Royce, Leaton (Cheryl) Blanchard II, John (Connie) Blanchard, Bill (Judy) Blanchard, and Ron (Mary) Blanchard; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Brewer and Hazel Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leaton Blanchard; a grandson; five brothers; and six sisters. Memorial contributions may be given to Valley View Village Building Fund >>
