The Life of NONA MARIE DEVRIES
Nona M. DeVries, 79, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines. She was born March 12, 1931 in Green County, AR to Nettie and Isaac Brashers.
She was a member of Christian Life Fellowship and loved working with the youth at the church. Nona worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, State of Iowa, and CDS.
Nona is survived by her husband of 39 years, Calvin DeVries; brother, Huey (Shirley) Brashers of Paragould, AR; a sister, Verda Barber of Jacksonville, AR; nieces, Charlotte Collins and Kaye (Chi) Holasut.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
