The Life of DARLENE MAY NIELAND
Darlene Nieland, 80, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Taylor House. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Staves Memorial United Methodist Church, E. 28th & Madison, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Darlene was born November 21, 1927 to Benjamin and Margaret Nieland in Belle Plaine, Iowa. She graduated from Belle Plain High School and A.I.B. Darlene was the head bookkeeper for Square Deal Insurance Company for 38 years.
Darlene is survived by many cousins, dear friends and long time friend, Velma Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and baby sisters.
