The Life of RAYMOND BARNEY
Ray Barney, 94, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Union Park Health Services. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Highland Memory Gardens.
Ray was born in Westside, Iowa and lived most of his life in Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Ray retired from the Des Moines Metro Transit Authority.
Ray is survived by two children; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dott Barney.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren's Chapel. (801 - 19th Street, West Des Moines, IA.)
