The Life of MARILYN KAY NAGLE

Marilyn Kay DeFord entered into this world December 7, 1941 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital as the only child of Dorothy May and Fred Elmer DeFord. A life long resident of Des Moines, she graduated from East High School and the American Institute of Business. She worked 15 years full-time for the Iowa Bar Association, staying home until her daughter went to middle school and then part-time for 12 years for the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Marilyn was joined in marriage on September 19, 1969 to Larry William Nagle. Marilyn spent many of her adult years volunteering in various positions at churches, with the most years in the Awana Program at the Saylorville Baptist Church of which she was a member. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Larry Nagle; daughter, Melissa Sue (Keith Evan) Warner; grandsons, Thomas Warner, Evan Warner, and Mark Warner. She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Saylorville Baptist Church, 6429 NW 6th Drive, Saylor Township, Iowa. Burial will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saylorville Baptist Church missions.
