The Life of MILDRED LOUISE WILSON ANTLE

Mildred Antle passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Hamilton's Funeral Home 605 Lyon St. Des Moines, Iowa followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday March 8, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mildred was born March 30, 1920 in Des Moines IA, to Ethel Mae and Frank Anderson. She was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1938. She was also a secretary to Governor Harold Hughes during his reign of office. She was a member of the East High Alumni Association and the VFW Post 738. Mildred loved to ballroom dance. Mildred is survived by her husband of 20 years, Rolland Antle; daughters, Janet (Mark) Brady of De Soto, Susan (Larry) Adams of Cheyenne, and Christie (Dennis) Spurling of Atlanta, IN; Seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dale Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Auxiliary Post 738.
