The Life of JAMES BERNARD ROTH
James "Barney" Bernard Roth, 54, of 2421 SE Eighth St., died of a heart ailment Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Roth, a lifelong resident of Des Moines, was a custodian for the West Des Moines Schools, a Navy veteran and a member of Valley Junction Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Lou E. Roth; a stepson, David Martin; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Cloud; his father, James; his stepmother, Eleanor Roth; his stepfather, William Crane; a sister, Janet Belieu; a stepbrother, Ray Gauerke; a stepsister, Donna Thompson; and three grandchildren, all of Des Moines.
Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
