The Life of LOWELL L LOCKEY

Lowell L. Lockey, 79, of the 2400 block of 30th Street died of a heart attack Tuesday at home. Services will be at noon Friday at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens. Funeral Home, withburial at Highland Memorty Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Lockey was born in Fort Dodge and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was the retired owner of Casey's Bait and Tackle and also had owned and operated Lockey Service Station. He served in the Navy during World War II. Survivors include three sons, Larry of Winterset, Jerry of Norwalk and Terry of Des Moines.; three daughters, Sheryl Spooner of Des Moines, Arvana Butler of St. Charles and Marlene Lockety of Carlisle; five sisters, Bernadine Michael, Arvana Boyd and Eleanor Klinkel, all of Charles City; Martha Simerson of Hartford and Elvelyn Roethler of Alma; three brothers, Clifford of Bassett, Dale of Swan and Donald of Newburn, N.C,; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
