The Life of CLAUDE SPOONER
Services for Claude "Jeff" Spooner, 73, of 3010 Seneca Ave., who died Saturday of a muscular disorder, will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mr. Spooner was born in Elkhart and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired salesman for White Star Laundry. Mr. Spooner was also a member of Gatchel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; a son, Ronald of Des Moines; a brother, Jim of Elkhart; four sisters, Maxine Evans of Polk City, Gladys Kline of Valmayer, Ill., Mae Benshoff and Mary Allen, both of Elkhart, and three grandchildren.
The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Hospice of Iowa.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
