The Life of MARY LOUISE BARNARD
Mary Louise Barnard, 78, of 1125 W. First St., Ankeny, died of cancer Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnard was born in Indianola and had lived in Cedar Rapids, Phoenix, Seattle and Des Moines before moving to Ankeny four years ago. She was a retired bookkeeper for the State of Iowa, a volunteer with American Cancer Society and Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and a member of Capitol City Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Keith; a daughter, Karen Carter of Des Moines; a son, Mark of Charlotte, NC; and three grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
