The Life of MARION KEITH BARNARD
Keith Barnard, 81, died Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 29 at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Keith was born February 20, 1922 in Hardin County, Iowa and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He served in the US Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Keith retired in 1984 as a CPA for the State of Iowa and was a member of Capitol City Baptist Church, Ankeny Genealogical Chapter and American Legion Post 42.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen and husband Dale Carter of Saylorville; son Mark Barnard and wife Sue Wampler of North Carolina; and three grandchildren, Kristy and Kelly Carter and Erin Barnard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise West.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Capitol City Baptist Church or Ankeny Genealogical Chapter.
