The Life of RICK DUANE SMITH

Rick D. Smith, 33, of 301 N. Third St., Polk City, died Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. The cause of death is unknown, pending results of an autopsy. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, of which he was a member, with burial at highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Smith was borni in Billings, Montana and had lived in Des Moines all of his life. he was a refrigeration installer at Taylor Industries and a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union. Survivors include his wife, Donna; a son, Steven of Polk City; his parents, Leonard and Dorothy Smith of Des Moines; a brother, Dale, and a sister, Vickie Monroe, both of Des Moines; and his grandmother, Dorothy Smith of Iowa Falls.
