The Life of DANIEL JAMES REYES

Daniel James Reyes, 97, died Sunday, November 29, 2004 at Trinity Center at Luther Park, where he resided.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 3 at Grandview Park Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Daniel was born the son of Joseph and Virginia (Cevantez) Reyes on July 25, 1907 in Brady, TX.  He served during World War II in the Coast Guard.

Daniel lived in Seattle, WA, and worked as a machinist for Boeing Aircraft for 40 years before retiring.  He moved back to Des Moines 15 years ago.  He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Grand Lodge International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers #751 in Seattle, WA.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Ralph, Henry, Frank and Charles.

He is survived by his brothers, Joseph of North Olmsted, OH, Al and his wife, Paula of Springfield, MO, David and his wife, Louise of DeWitt, IA, Robert and his wife, Wanda and Richard and his wife, Wanda, all of Des Moines; and sister, Irene Tonsi of Phoenix, AZ.
