The Life of FRANK JOSEPH REYES

Frank Reyes, 101, of Fleur Heights Care Center died of complications of a stroke there Saturday.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Southtown Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Reyes was born in Brady, TX and had lived in Des Moines for many years.  He was a retired advertising manager with Ginsberg''s Funniture Store, and enjoyed gardening and fishing and spending time at his cottage at Lake Okoboji.

He is survived by three daughters, Virginia Nixon, Delores Dudley and Diana Reyes, all of Des Moines; two sons, Fred of Storm Lake and Dan of Des Moines; a sister, Irene Tonsi of Phoenix; seven brothers, Dan, Robert and Richard, all of Des Moines; Joe of Olmsted Falls, OH; Al of Springfield, MO; David of De Witt and Charles of Clinton, AR; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
