The Life of JOHN DUANE KALLANSRUD
John D. Kallansrud, 77, of the 1500 block of Henderson Ave. died of cancer Wednesday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Lutheran Church, of which we was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Kallansrud was born in Fort Dodge and had lived in Des Moines 45 years. He was the retired owner and operator of Add-A-Tool and an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two sons, Randy of Des Moines and Gary of Ballwin, MO; two daughters, Joy Willis of Bettendorf and Vicki Lydon of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Donald of Winterset; three sisters, Ruth Bockertt and Charlotte Barnes, both of Fort Dodge, and Betty Lookabaugh of Mountain Home, AR; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
