The Life of DONALD E BUTCHER
Donald E. Butcher, 62, of the 3800 block of Eighth Place died of a heart ailment Wednesday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Butcher had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a retired computer operator with Equitable of Iowa and had served in the ROTC Naval Reserves. He was a ham radio operator and a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed photography and geneaology.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Butcher and a sister, Sharon Pennenger, both of Des Moines.
His companion was Patricia Langstraat of Des Moines.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc.
