The Life of KATHRYN VIRGINIA HANOVER
Kathryn Virginia Hanover, 78, of Grinnell died of Alzheimer''s disease Wednesday at Mayflower Health Care Center there. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Hanover was born in Jefferson and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life before moving to the care center in 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Surviving are two sisters, Irene Blair of Grinnell and Mildred Stangl of Lincoln, NE; and a brother, Donald Shockey of Salt Lake City, UT.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association or Alzheiver''s Association.
