The Life of CURITS A HANOVER

Curtis A. Hanover, 76, of Grinnell died of a kidney ailment Friday at Mayflower Health Care Center. Services will be at noon Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Hanover was born in Bode and lived in Des Moines before moving to Grinnell a year ago. He was a retired brigadier general in the Iowa National Guard, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the National Guard Association of the United States, Highland Park Masonic Lodge and New Hope United Methodist Church. Among survivors are his wife, Kathryn; three brothers, David of Niles, IL; Ross of Scales Mound, IL; and Kenneth of Moorestown, NJ; and two sisters, Doris White of Iowa Falls and Beverly Pierce of Santa Rosa, CA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
