The Life of EDWIN M BEST
Edwin Best, 79, of Des Moines, died Friday, May 9, 2003 at In Trust Hospice Taylor House. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 12 at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Edwin was born in Topeka, KS on December 24, 1923. He was a final inspector for Firestone Tire in Des Moines and had served in the US Navy. Edwin was a member of Local #310 and Grandview Park Baptist Church in Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Best of Des Moines; one sister, one brother; one son, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 11 at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
