The Life of VERN LOGUE
Vern Logue, 66, of 7221 NW 21st St., Ankeny, died of pancreatic cancer Friday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Logue was born in Ogden and lived in Ankeny 21 years. He was a retired safety director with MAPCO and a member of Ankeny First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve; two daughters, Lisa Hill of Des Moines and Cara Cavanaugh of Omaha, NEB; a son, Kurt of Ankeny; three sisters, Shirley Cross of Webster City, Alice Clark of Nebraska City, NEB, and Maybelle Shughart of Carlisle, PA; a brother Russ of Norwalk; and a grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
