The Life of CHARLES WALTER WINSCOTT
Charles Walter Winscott, 70, of 309 NE Sixth St., Ankeny, died of cancer Thursday at Kavanagh House on Grand. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Winscott was born in Fulton, MO, and lived in the Des Moines area most of his life. He was a retired truck driver for the 3M Co. and a member of the Teamsters.
Among survivors are his wife, Edith; two sons, Chuck of Ankeny and Pat of Des Moines; a daughter, Heidi Winscott of Des Moines; a step-daughter, Carla Kraft of Plano, TX; four sisters, Mable Maupin, Mearle Stahlhut and Ina Cramblit, all of Des Moines, and Marie Atkinson of Auxvasse, MO; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
