The Life of LUCILLE THELMA MAHAFFEY
Lucille T. Mahaffey, 83, of Luther Park Health Center, 1555 Hull Ave., died of a heart ailment Tuesday at the center, where she had been a resident for 4 1/2 years. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Mahaffey was born in Waukee and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women there.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Lawrence, both of Des Moines; a brother, Lemuel Womacks of Adel; a sister, Edna Tefferteller of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Luther Park Health Center.
