The Life of DALE ONEY THYE

Dale O. Thye, 43, of 525 N.W. 64th Place died of a heart attack Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Thye was born in Keosauqua and had lived in the Saydel area 18 years. He was a researcher for Mycogen Plant Sciences, a coach for junior sports in the Saydel area and an assistant Cub Scout master.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Kyle and Justin, both of Des Moines; his mother, V. Kathryn Thye of Carrollton, Mo.; six sisters, Earline Sarbaugh and Charlene Browning, both of Carrollton, Linda Knouse of Kansas City, Mo., Patti Johnson of Lenexa, Kan., Janice Zimmerman of Holt Summit, Mo., and Kathy Dewbre of Kimberly, South Africa; and two brothers, Darrell of Columbia, Mo., and Curtis of Richfield, Minn.

The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
