The Life of ERNEST J RODDA

Ernest J. Rodda, 89, of Pleasantville died of a stroke Sunday at Pleasant Care Living Center. The body will be cremated, and memorial services will be at noon Friday at Hamilton''''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Rodda was born in Marion County and lived in Des Moines and Mercer, MO before moving to Pleasantville in 1986. He was a retired meat cutter for Iowa Packing Co., and belonged to St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Leland of Berwick and Lyle of Hartford; a sister, Grace Reed of Tulsa, OK; three brothers, Leo of Shell Knob, MO, Ivan of Pleasantville and Cecil of Osceola; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasantville Fire and Rescue.
