The Life of NEWTON H PACKARD
Newton H. Packard, 89, of 512 NE 70th Ave. Ankeny, died of a stroke Wednesday at the Ramsey Home. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Packard was born in New Hartford and lived in the Ankeny area most of his life. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; five sons, Glen of Denver, CO, N.Roy of Los Alamitos, CA, Raymond of Cottonwood, AZ, Virgil of Endicott, NY, and David of Des Moines; two daughters, Doris Brandts of Blue Grass and Letty Mae Packard of Lake Bluff, IL; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the famikly will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Church of Christ Scientist.
