The Life of MARILYN JOANN SHIFFER

Marilyn JoAnn Shiffer, 67, of the 4200 block of Northeast Third Street died of a heart ailment Saturday at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Shiffer had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was an account manager for Nation's Bank retiring in 1992 and a member of Highland park Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crochet and crafts. She is survived by her husband, Curtis; a daughter Mary Jo Ocker of Bagley; three sons, Clayton  Carlson of Des Moines, Jim George of Indianola and Scott Shiffer of San Diego; two stepdaughters, Karen Wittmaier of Clive and Janet Brown of Glendale. Ariz; a stepson, Craig Shiffer of Des Moines; two sisters, Lillian Lourens of Campbridge and Velma Snetselaar of Prairie City; a brother, Harold Fees of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and five great-greatchildren. The family will recieve friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial conributions may be made to her church or the American Heart Association.
