The Life of LEONA FRETHEIM
Services for Mrs. Harlan (Leona) Fretheim, 33, of Bloomington, MN, formerly of Des Moines, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church here. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Fretheim died Monday at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester, MN of complications following surgery. She had been ill six days.
Born in Des Moines, Mrs. Fretheim lived here 21 years and graduated from East High School. She attended the State University of Iowa and was a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C.
She was a member of the Handel and Haydn Choral Society of Boston, Mass., and had directed the St. Stephen''s Church choir at Colesville, MD. She was a member of Minnetonka Lutheran Church at Wayzata, MN, the Order of Eastern Star in Des Moines and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
Surviving are her husband; four children, Harold, 10, Karen, 8, Barbara, 6 and Eric, 3; a sister, Mrs. Ann Arthur of Clarinda, and her parents Mr. & Mrs. Alex Lindblom of Des Moines.
The Dahlstrom Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
