The Life of JAMES MICHAEL SCARLETT
James M. Scarlett, 44, of 3155 NE 44th Ave., died Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Cause of death is unknown pending the results of an autopsy. Services will be at 12:30 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Scarlett was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a drill press operator for John Deere and was a self-employed farrier. He was a member of Flying Arrow Ssaddle Club and Norwalk Prole Saddle Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lee; a daughter, Kelly Jo Scarlett of Des Moines; two stepsons, Donnie Hamilton and Chet Hamilton, both of Des Moines; his mother, Josephine Lane of Des Moines; a stepfather, Clarence Lane of Des Moines; a brother, Charles of Bondurant; and five sisters, Sharon Lane of Las Vegas, Nev., Patricia Miller and Donna Matthews, both of Des Moines; and Jacquelyn Wilson and Rebecca Smith, both of Prairie City.
Friends may call Sunday at the funeral home.
