The Life of LARRY VERNON TROUTMAN

Larry Vernon Troutman, 61, of the 1400 block of Guthrie Avenue died of a heart ailment Saturday at home.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Troutman had lived in Des Moines all his life.  He was the retired owner of Troutman Construction Co. and enjoyed camping and working on classic cars.

He is survived by his wife, Patty; four sons, Michael Hunt, Ronnie Hunt and Lonny Troutman, all of Des Moines, and Larry Betts of Marshalltown; three stepsons, Ron Griffin of Des Moines, Lester Addams of Cleveland and Daryl Addams of Iowa City; three daughters, Toni Rae Pinta, Arline Ely and Starla Lindley, all of Des Moines; four stepdaughters, Debbie Stanley and Barbara Dornbusch, both of Des Moines, Jayne Roan of Mitchellville and Sue Kemp of Jefferson City, MO; three brothers, Marvin, Eldon and Paul, all of Des Moines; two sisters, Shirley Griffin of Exira and Beverly Betts of Marshalltown; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
