The Life of ELEANOR L HIGDAY
Eleanor L. Higday, 69, of 2555 Wedgewood Rd. died of a heart ailment Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Higday was born in New Castle, PA, and had lived in Des Moines since 1958. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Knight, and a son, Robert, both of Des Moines; two brothers, George Newtzie of New Castle and Thomas Newtzie of Houston; a sister, Rosalie Watkins of HNew Castle; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
