The Life of JOHN G MCKOWEN
Services for John G. McKowen, 77, of 1411 Oak Park Ave., who died of pneumonia Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
A lifelong resident of Des Moines, Mr. McKowen was a retired Polk County gardener. He attended the First Federated Church.
Survivors include his wife, Viola; three daughters, Jeannine Visser of Harvey, Marry Ann Chapler of Kingston, Ontario, and Donna Lutz of Des Moines; one son, Jack of Des Moines; three sisters, Elizabeth Orr of Cedar Rapids, Frances Marshall of Sun City, Ariz., and Mary Bortell of St. Charles; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
