The Life of DOROTHY ELIZABETH HINMAN
Dorothy Elizabeth Hinman, 89, died of natural causes Saturday, August 30, 2003 at Parkridge Nursing Home in Pleasant Hill. Services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, at Grandview Park Funeral Home with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Dorothy was born in Leonard, ND and graduated from Derby High School, Derby, IA in 1932. She retired from Dahl''s Foods in Des Moines.
She is survived by four daughters, Teddy (Frank) Beard of Pleasant Hill, Wonevia Penney and Kathy Maddox of Des Moines and Carolyn Kerby of Dexter and her sons, David of Newton, Clifford of Indianola, Ed (Cathy) of Mounds View, MN and Howard (Debbie) of Des Moines; sister, Jessie Cervelli of Roberts, IL; brothers, Ervin (Doris) Geyer of Streator, IL, Glen (Delores) Geyer of Waukesha, WI, Leland (Nellie) Geyer of Roberts, IL and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 3 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Grandview Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice.
