The Life of ROSEMARY SOKOLIK
Rosemary Sokolik, 52, of the 200 block of University Avenue died of cancer Sunday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Miss Sokolik was born in Des Moines and had lived here most of her life. She was a grant writer for Iowa State University Foundation and a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts.
Among survivors are her parents, Edward and Mary, both of Des Moines; and two sisters, Diane Sokolik of Des Moines and Mary Burlingame of Davenport.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Girl Scouts Moingona Council or Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
