The Life of RONALD RAY UNDERWOOD

Ronald Ray Underwood, 19, of 2504 Fairlawn Drive, West Des Moines, who worked for Pizzagalli Construction in Maine, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday in Fort Fairfield, Maine.  Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at McLaren''s Resthaven Funeral Chapel in West Des Moines.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

His death was ruled a suicide by Dr. Nina Higgins Morse, a medical examiner in Maine.

He was born in Des Moines and lived in Fort Fairfield, Maine and West Des Moines most of his lfie.

Survivors include his parents, Rex and Wanda Underwood of West Des Moines; a sister, Ada C. Reynolds of Fort Fairfield, Maine; a brother, Russell A. of West Des Moines; and his grandmother, Ruby Underwood of Centerville.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Methodist Foundation for Younker Rehabilitation Center or the Children''s Foundation.
