The Life of DEWEY L HUSS
Dewey L. Huss, 81, of 2016 Nash Drive, died of pneumonia Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Westover Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Huss was born in Prairie Home, IL, and lived in Nevada, LeMars and Creston before moving to Des Moines in 1931. He attended Iowa State University and was a graduate of Westmar College. A retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Mr. Huss was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Local 352 and Calvary Community Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen; a son, Noel of Des Moines; a daughter, Marlyn Huss of Des Moines; a brother, Billy of Creston; a sister, Queenie Spencer of Waukee; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Calvary Community Chapel Library Fund.
