The Life of CARMEN C PARKER
Carmen C. Parker, 77, of 3836 Easton Blvd. died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker was born in Pilot, AR, and lived in Des Moines most of her life. She retired as a clerk for the US Postal Service and was a member of Grandview Church of Christ.
Surviving are five sons, Dale of Des Moines, Steve of Brunswick, GA, Dan of Falls Church, VA, Jack of Altoona, and Ed of Tempe, AZ; two brothers, Bob Griffith of Thayer, MO, and Cecil Griffith of Springdale, AR; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
