The Life of FREMONT WILLIAM FITCH
Fremont "Shorty" Fitch, 75, of 1800 Watrous Ave., died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Ftch was born in Decatur County and had lived in Leon before moving to Des Moines 42 years ago. He retired in 1974 as a maintenance worker for Mercy Hospital and was a member of Kingsway Cathedral.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Judy Brown of Ottumwa; two sisters, Velta Pullen and Evelyn Ogden, both of Des Moines; four brothers, Joseph and Junior, both of Des Moines, Leo of Colfax, and Gail of St. Louis, MO; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
