The Life of EVELYN M EVANS

Evelyn Evans, 96, of Grimes died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 11a.m. Friday at Ankeny Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Evans was born in cumming and moved to Grimes 10 years ago from the Johnston and Ankeny areas. She had been a teacher and later a seamstress at Younkers department store, and she was a member of Johnston Garden Club and the National Association of University Women. Surviving are two sons, Don of Grimes and Howard of St. Petersburg, Fla; and seven granchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
