The Life of ELI DONALD BRIGHTMAN
Eli Donald Brightman, 84, of 3518 57th St. died of a respiratory ailment Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Merle Hay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Brightman was born in Creston and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired 20 years ago as a construction worker and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Acanthus Masonic Lodge No. 632 and Scottish Rite.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Helen Sliefert of Storm Lake; a stepson, James P. Imlay of Rock Hill, S.C.; a brother, Leston of Kennewick, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
