The Life of OSCAR ULRICH JOHNSON
Oscar U. Johnson, 76, of 918 Buchanan St., died Sunday at Des Moines General Hospital after a five-week illness. Death was caused by uremia.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mr. Johnson was born in Sweden and lived in Des Moines since he was two months old. Before his retirement 11 years ago, he did heat and frost insulation work for Central Asbestos Co. and was a member of the Heat and Frost Insulator''s Union. He was a member of the Grand View Lutheran Chruch.
Survivors include his wife, Mable; a daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Green of Des Moines; two brothers, Victor of Des Moines, and Adrian of Hood, CA; a sister, Mrs. Delia Jaansen of Carmichael, CA; a half-sister, Mrs. Helen Peterson of Des Moines; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
