The Life of JEANNE ARLENE HICKERSON
Jeanne Anderson Hickerson, 81, died Monday, November 13, 2006 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. A memorial service will be held at Scottish Rite Park, 2909 Woodland on Saturday, November 18th at 1:00 p.m. Jeanne will be put to rest at Highland Memory Gardens. Jeanne was born Feb. 12, 1925 in Des Moines to Hannah and Iver Anderson. She graduated from East Des Moines High School in 1943 and was then employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone company until her retirement in 1984. In 1999 she happily married Wilson Hickerson. Jeanne was a kind, generous and gracious women, loved by her many friends and family members. She enjoyed traveling, being active in her church and keeping in close contact with her family. For her whole life she has been a member of the Covenant Church. She is survived by her husband, Wilson; one brother, Herman Anderson; three stepsons, Tom, Mike and Ken Hickerson, 8 nieces and nephews; and 13 great nieces and nephews. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. Hamilton’s Funeral Home is providing arrangements.
