The Life of FRED F BURSIEK
Fred Bursiek, 73, died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with private family burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Fred was born in Chicago, IL and had lived in Des Moines since 1961. He was the division manager for ARA Food Service, retiring in 1995 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; sister, Elinor Johnston of Chicago, IL; brothers, Marvin Bursiek of Green Bay, WI, and Arthur Able of Rockford, IL; son, Robert Pace of Des Moines; four grandsons, Nicholas and Anthony Pace and Thomas and Jeffery Wood; and two granddaughters, Adrianne Gehrt and Margaret Jo Parsons.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Westover Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
