The Life of LESTER WINTON CHUMBLEY

Services for Lester W. Chumbley, 55, of Berwick, who died of cancer Thursday at Northwest Community Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Chumbley was born in Carlisle and lived in Indianola before moving to Des Moines 34 years ago.  He lived in Berwick, the past six months.  An inspector fo Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., he was a member of the United Rubber Workers Union, the Beaverdale Post of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Pioneer Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; four daughters, Rosalind Embrey of Ankeny, Rosemary Wheeler of Des Moines, Rita Chumbley and Robin Belz, both of Berwick; three sons, Rodney and Roger, both of Des Moines, and Randall of Ankeny; his mother, Mary Chumbley of Indianola; a brother, Leo of Milo; and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call today at the funeral home.  The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
