The Life of WILMA RUTH GRAVES
Ruth W. Graves passed on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, August 7 at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Ruth was born October 31, 1928 to Alva and Winona Crawley in Gainesville, MO. She married Earl J Graves on July 18, 1954, and was proud to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
Ruth was a member of Highland Park Christian Church. She loved taking car of her husband and family, and spending all of her time with them. . . they meant the world to her.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Earl (Junior) Graves of Indianola; sons, Stephen (Tracy) Graves of New Virginia and Douglas (Lynn) Graves of Long Beach, CA; daughter, Rebecca (Bill) Crawford of Ankeny; grandchildren, Renee L Graves of Denver, CO, Laura F. (James) Hagen of Winterset, Angela M Pebbles and Andrew G. Pebbles, both of Des Moines; and sisters, Lillian Craig of Fulton, MO, and June (Merle) Phelps of Bethany, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harlan Crawley.
